Art as a bridge.
Contemporary Ukrainian artist and curator. Painting, cultural dialogue, and the strength of connection.

Liudmyla Horbachyk is a contemporary Ukrainian artist and curator, professionally active since 2019. Her practice combines painting with art performance, workshops, charitable initiatives and international cultural projects. Flowers are a recognizable signature of her work, often appearing alongside the female image. Her paintings explore femininity, freedom, memory and inner strength. The experience of war has deepened these themes, bringing questions of resilience and renewal into her work.
Her exhibition activity spans Ukraine, Italy, Poland and the United States. Alongside her own practice, she creates opportunities for Ukrainian artists through curatorial work. She heads the Department of Culture of the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations of Italy and curates Un Ponte Di Colori, an international platform presenting Ukrainian art in Italy.
For Horbachyk, art is also a form of participation and support. She leads creative workshops for children and adults, founded a children's art school in Sambir in 2023, and takes part in collaborative and charitable projects. During the war, approximately 115 of her artworks have been sold or transferred for charitable purposes. Her works are held in 16 museum collections in Ukraine and in private collections internationally.
